Evansville junior Madison Chaney remains in contention after the second round of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas.
Chaney braved a frigid first round on Sunday to shoot a 4-over 76 to put her one shot behind the leader in a tie for sixth place.
The former Trigg County standout shot an 80 on Monday and finished the second round tied for 24th, shooting a 38 over her final nine holes. She stands 10 shots off the lead.
The Aces, who currently sit in 10th place, close out the MVC Championship Tuesday.
