Hopkinsville guard Jalen Johnson has been named to the 13-player roster for the Kentucky All-Star team in their annual series with Indiana.
Johnson was one of nearly 30 players that tried out for the team Saturday. The Tiger senior averaged 17.5 points and five rebounds a game while shooting 44-percent from the field.
Johnson scored 11 points for the West squad Saturday in their 134-111 loss to the East team in the Dawahares/KABC All-Star game in Lexington.
Other players named to the Kentucky roster include McCracken County’s Cam Cartwright, Warren Central’s Skyelar Potter, Scott County’s Cooper Robb, Lexington Christian’s Carter Hendrickson, and Mr. Basketball Trevon Faulkner.
Murray’s Macey Turley and Bowling Green’s Keely Morrow were the only players from western Kentucky named to the Kentucky Girls’ All-Star Team.
Kentucky will play Indiana Friday, June 8 at Bellarmine in Louisville and Saturday, June 9 at Bankers Life Arena in Indianapolis.
