Heritage Christian Academy split their doubleheader with Cannelton, Indiana Saturday, with Ben Jacobs striking out 11 in their 12-5 win in the opener.
Jacobs, who moved to 2-0 on the mound, also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of runs knocked in.
Elijah Britton also had two hits for the Warriors, who were missing four starters who were away on family trips.
Cannelton, who swept HCA last year, won the second game 18-9.
Trenton Hayes had two hits, and Jacobs had a double and four RBIs. Davis Miller also chipped in with two hits and two RBIs.
Hayes took the loss on the mound in his first varsity start.
HCA, who finished sixth in the final KCAA Baseball Poll last season, get into conference play next Saturday when they host Gallilean.
