Junior guard Drew McGowan scored 15 points, including 13 in the second half and 8 in the fourth quarter, to help University Heights beat Hopkinsville 72-65 on Tuesday night. The semifinal win books the Blazers spot in Thursday’s 8th District championship, where they’ll face the Christian County Colonels. McGowan discussed the win, and addressed the need for the Blazers to match the Colonels’ physicality.
