With just a month left before the start of baseball season, Lyon County is looking for a baseball coach.

Lyon County Athletic Director Jeff Doom confirmed to YourSportsEdge.com Friday afternoon that Greg Vincent submitted his resignation Thursday. Doom offered no other details, but said assistant Chris Yancey would serve as interim coach until a new head coach is hired. The job listing was posted with the school Thursday.

Vincent coached Lyon County to a 16-14 record in his only season as head coach in 2017. Lyon County was the top seed in the Fifth District but was upset by Crittenden County 4-3 in the first round of the district tournament.

Prior to Lyon County, Vincent coached at Livingston Central and has been the head coach of Lyon County American Legion Post 68, which has won multiple state championships.

The Lyons are expected to return six seniors to their 2018 squad, including Brescia signee Brody Bridges.
