Rachel West scored a season-high 34 points to lead top-ranked Heritage Christian Academy to a 61-37 win over Glasgow Christian Tuesday night at Warrior Gym.
West scored 10 points in both the first and third quarters and hit four of HCA’s eight 3-pointers on the night. The Lady Warriors survived a slow start as they trailed No. 8 Glasgow 14-13 after one quarter and led 25-24 at halftime.
HCA used a 24-8 third quarter run to take control of the game and held Glasgow to 13 second half points.
Chelsea Dortch hit four more 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. Hope Flournoy added four points and 10 rebounds.
Heritage Christian improved to 18-6 on the season. They are 9-0 in KCAA play and moved to 4-0 in the region.
The Lady Warriors return to action Thursday against Northside Baptist and Saturday at Somerset Christian.
