After being a big part of the success of the Caldwell County volleyball program, Taylor Whalen officially signed Monday afternoon to continue her career on the collegiate level. After have declared back in December, Whalen signed papers Monday to play for Midway University.
Whalen was named to the 2017 All Second Region Volleyball first team, and was an integral part of the Lady Tigers run to the 2nd Region All A championship, and the championship game of the 2nd Region Volleyball tournament, where the Lady Tigers lost to Henderson County.
Midway University, is an NAIA Division II school, located in Midway, Kentucky, with an enrollment of just over 1,200 students. The Eagles play in the River States Conference, which includes two other Kentucky schools, Asbury and Brescia. Midway finished the 2017 season at 7-27.
