Trigg County finished fifth Saturday at the Calloway County Laker Wrestling Invitational with Colin Stevens taking first place in the 160-pound division,
Stevens beat Ohio County’s Klemmer Nicodemus in the first round and pinned West Creek’s Tristian Taylor to win the title.
In the 126-poind class, Ethan Futrell finished second, losing to West Creek’s Andrew Parker in the title match.
Isaac Aguiar also finished second, falling to Kenwood’s Thomas Williams in the championship match of the 132-pound class. He picked up wins over Calloway County’s Caitlin Powers and Union County’s Ryan Heidrich on his way to the title match.
Middle schooler Andrew Hendricks finished in fourth place, falling to McCracken County’s Trevor Tilley.
Andrew Spears also placed for Trigg County, finishing in sixth place in the 145-pound class.
Trigg County will wrestle Fort Campbell Tuesday on post for a chance to wrestle at the state duals Saturday at Lindsey Wilson College.

Trigg freshman Ethan Futrell finished 2nd in the 126 lb class. Futrell fell to Union County’s Quinton Cox in an exhibition match to round out his bracket at the tournament.

Stevens and Nicodemus met in the finals at Calloway County’s 2018 Laker Invitational.
