Todd County begins play Monday in the Fourth Region Girls’ All-A Classic Region Tournament against winless Cumberland County. The game time in Elkton has been moved up to 1pm to avoid incoming weather.
The Lady Rebels are just 4-9 on the season but have won two of their last three games. Their loss in that stretch was a 68-35 setback to Glasgow.
Todd County Central will be looking to avenge losses to Cumberland County in the first round of the last two region tourneys. The Lady Rebels have not won a first round game in the All-A region since 2012 and will be looking for their first region title since 2009.
A win by Todd County Monday will move them into Wednesday’s semifinals at Clinton County (5-15) against the host.
Defending champion Monroe County (8-9) and Metcalfe County (6-7) meet in the other quarterfinal with the winner to play Russellville (2-13) Wednesday. The championship will be Friday at 6:00 at Clinton County.
