
Trigg County had three wrestlers finish in the top four Saturday at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Christian County Invitational at Lyle Dunbar Gymnasium.
Colin Stevens finished third with a 6-0 decision over Woodford County’s Triston Brooks in the 160-pound class. He beat Caldwell County’s Seth Slayton to advance to the third place match. Stevens won his first two matches before falling to Blake Spink of Clarksville Northwest 2-0.
In the 132-pound class, Isaac Aguiar finished fourth after dropping a 6-4 decision to Amange Abdmrahman of John Overton, TN. Aguiar began his day with wins over Calloway County’s Caitlin Powers and Hopkinsville’s Payton Hayes.
In the 126-pound class, freshman Ethan Futrell finished fourth after falling to Austin Kring of Nolensville, TN by a 9-3 decision. Futrell pinned John Overton’s Zach Greene to advance to the third place match.
