Fort Campbell finished 14th Saturday at the Beech High Wrestling Invitational in Hendersonville, TN. Ethan Tomerlin was the highest finishing Falcon of the day, taking second place in the 170-pound division. Tomerlin won his first match by fall and his second by decision. He lost to Northwest’s Trever Hanson by fall in the championship match.
Alexei Royar was the other Falcon wrestler to place, finishing in fourth place in the 113-poind weight class. After losing his first round match, Royar rebounded to win three straight matches before losing to Wilson Central’s Grant Fetters in the third place match.
Other Falcon wrestlers winning at least one match Saturday were Jasmine Ward, John Cogbill, Jesus Avila.
Fort Campbell will wrestle at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Christian County Invitational Saturday.
