The Hopkinsville girls’ basketball team is set for a hectic end to 2017, playing in a tournament on each side of Christmas. The Lady Tigers are coming off a 61-53 home win over Logan County on Monday, improving their record to 7-2.
On Thursday, the Lady Tigers begin play in the Owensboro Invitational Tournament, squaring off with the 2-6 Daviess County Lady Panthers. On Friday, they meet 2nd Region foe Henderson County (2-5), and finish with a game Saturday against host Owensboro High (4-4).
Hopkinsville will get back into action after Christmas with a trip to South Warren for the FNB Holiday Bash on December 28th. They open play against the 4-6 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers, followed later by a match-up with 2-7 Warren Central. Friday features an enticing match-up with undefeated Campbell County (8-0), with the final round of games on Saturday.
On January 2nd, the Lady Tigers start the new year with a trip to 2-5 Madisonville-North Hopkins.
