Todd County Central just missed nabbing their second girls’ basketball win of the season with a 36-35 road loss at East Robertson, TN Tuesday.
The Lady Rebels led 35-34 but a turnover with 25 seconds left gave the Indians the basketball, and they were able to convert the go-ahead bucket. Todd County got a good look at a 3-pointer at the end, but the shot missed.
Makayla Artis led the Lady Rebels with 14 points, while Tatyana Peterson added 10 points. Todd County was hampered by a 5-of-12 performance at the free throw line.
Todd County Central (1-4) opens district play Friday when they host Russellville Friday at Rebel Gym. The Lady Panthers (0-3) lost to Warren East 61-29 Tuesday.
