A second Trigg County senior will be heading to college to play baseball with Ashton Plymale committing to Transylvania University Sunday.
The 6-foot-5 left-handed pitcher posted a 4.71 ERA in 10 games last year for the Wildcats. He struck out 37 batters in 35 innings while walking just 16. Plymale also pitched in 10 games as a sophomore, posting a 3.23 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 21 innings.
Plymale heads to a Transylvania baseball program that was 13-24 last year. He has a 3.8 GPA and plans to study biology at Transy.
He joins fellow Wildcat hurler Jake Terrell, who committed to Vol State College last week.
