The Hopkinsville girls’ basketball team traveled to Morton’s Gap for a scrimmage with Hopkins County Central Saturday night, losing 52-37. Coach Anthony Babb noted his team just didn’t shoot the ball well enough to win.
Senior center Zakyra Stallworth led the Lady Tigers with 9 points and 9 rebounds, followed closely by junior forward Jayla Rose’s 8 points and 9 rebounds. Senior point guard London Foster had 9 points on three 3-pointers, and junior guard Breon Oldham had 7 points and 5 assists. Junior guard Yogianah McKnight rounded out the scoring with 4 points.
The Lady Tigers open the regular season December 4 when they host Todd County Central.
