The Heritage Christian Academy boys’ basketball team used a big third quarter to pull away from visiting Northside Baptist Christian School, winning comfortably 62-37. The Warriors only led 26-22 at the half, before exploding for 20 points in the third quarter, fueled by Gavin Fowler’s 9 straight points. They took a 20 point lead at 52-32 with five minutes left, and cruised in from there.
Dalton Folz led all scorers with 19, followed closely by Josh Jones with 15. Fowler had 13, and point guard Rajah Mills added 11. Austin Crawford had two points, and Elisha Britton had two points.
Coach Daryl Hallmark was pleased with the improved defensive effort, but feels the Warriors must take better care of the ball.
