Caldwell-LaRue Matchup Has Family Reunion Feel

It will be almost like a family reunion this week, when the Caldwell County Tigers host LaRue County in the 2nd round of the Class 3A playoffs. There will be members of the Jaggers family pulling for the Tigers to advance to the regional final, while on the other sideline, there will be family members hoping the Hawks fly high at Tiger Stadium Friday night.

You see, Caldwell County is quarterbacked by junior Joby Jaggers, who is a cousin to Josh Jaggers, who is the head man at LaRue County.

Joby’s grandfather is Johnny Jaggers, a member of the Caldwell County High School Class of 1966, and a big Tiger backer. Josh’s grandfather is Joe Jaggers, who graduated from Caldwell County in 1958. Joe Jaggers won state championships at Trigg County and Fort Knox.

So, if you are at the game in Princeton Friday night, know that some of the Jaggers family will leave the field happy, some not so much.
