Heritage Christian Academy bowed out of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association State Volleyball Tournament Saturday with a straight set loss to Galilean Christian Academy out of Liberty. The scores were 25-20, 25-19.
HCA was dropped to the consolation bracket Friday with a 31-29, 22-25, 25-14 loss to Somerset Christian. HCA entered the tournament as the fourth seed. Somerset was the fifth seed, and Galilean was the nine seed in the tourney.
It marked the first time since 2002 that HCA failed to win at least one match at the KCAA State Tournament, which was won by top seed Trinity Christian over three seed Cornerstone Christian.
Senior Anna Waldron was named to the KCAA All-State Volleyball Team. HCA’s season ends with a record of 27-14.
