As a freshman, Anna Morgan was expected to be part of a strong core of young players coming through the ranks at Trigg County. She was the leading scorer on the Lady Wildcat JV team and had a pair of goals on the varsity team that won 10 games and lost to Madisonville in the semifinals of the region tournament.
Eight months later, Morgan was a student at the school that eliminated Trigg from the postseason. Anna’s father Tim became a pastor at a church in Nebo, and the family moved to Hopkins County.
Morgan was one of three seniors recognized by Madisonville Monday night at Donley Field. She winds down her final season with the Lady Maroons with 10 career goals and eight assists. She took time to talk to us and tell us what lies ahead for her after high school.
