UHA Stays Perfect in District Play, Downs Christian County 10-0

Emerson Barlow had a hat trick for UHA Thursday.

University Heights Academy remained perfect in district play with a 10-0 win over Christian County in a game decided with 4:57 left due to the mercy rule.

Lilly Strader had four goals in the contest and assisted on another, while junior Emerson Barlow recorded the hat trick. UHA scored five goals in each half, with Kate Cansler recording a goal and an assist. Alli Cundiff and Alex Juckett each had goals, and Sarah Covington had an assist with Lainey Burman getting the win in goal. The shutout was the second straight for UHA and fourth of the season.

UHA has now won seven straight games against Christian County dating back to 2012.

UHA won the JV match 5-0 as Grace Pape scored twice, and the Lady Blazers got single goals from Emily Hancock, Ashlyn Parker, and Kate Cansler.

Christian County dropped to 1-10 overall and 0-3 in the district. The Lady Colonels were shut out for the fifth straight game. They will play at McLean County Tuesday.

UHA (7-1, 3-0) will play at South Warren Saturday afternoon.
