Dylan Wagoner scored a hat trick to lead Todd County Central to a 7-3 win over Russellville Thursday in Elkton. The win was the first of the season for the Rebels and snapped a nine-game losing streak dating back to last year.
Wagoner scored two goals, and Davion Mosley and Evan Eddleman scored once as Todd County built a 4-2 lead. Russellville answered with a goal inside the nine minute park to pull to within one at 4-3.
Justin Latham quickly answered to put the Rebels ahead 5-3. Todd knew it was their night when Wagoner chased down a caromed pass to the right of the goal and was able to flip it back over his head toward the goal where Trevor Henderson headed it in for a 6-3 lead.
Wagoner completed the hat trick with just over a minute left for the final four-goal margin.
Todd County Central (1-5) will host Hopkins County Central Monday.
