There were no changes at the top of this week’s YourSportsEdge.com Second Region Volleyball Rankings, although both Hopkinsville and Livingston Central moved up a spot from last week.
1) Henderson County (5-1) – The Lady Colonels won both their matches last week, including a four-set win over #7 Webster County. The Lady Colonels have another district game this week against #13 Union County and will see some stiff competition this weekend at Central Hardin.
2) Caldwell County (5-2) – Caldwell’s lone win last week was against district for Hopkins County Central. The will host Daviess County Thursday.
3) Madisonville (6-2) – The Lady Maroons picked up four-set wins over Christian County and Hopkins County Central. They will host #11 Madisonville this week.
4) Hopkinsville (3-5) – The Lady Tigers are in the midst of a five-game district swing that sees them play #6 Christian County twice and #5 UHA once. They already own a district win over Fort Campbell.
5) University Heights (3-2) – The Lady Blazers haven’t played since Aug. 25 and won’t play again until Monday when they travel to #10 Trigg County.
6) Christian County (5-12) – Christian County went 2-3 over the weekend at a tourney in Elizabethtown with wins over Warren Central and McLean County. The Lady Colonels play at #4 Hopkinsville Thursday.
7) Webster County (6-3) – The Lady Trojans won a set against Henderson County and have won five of their last seven matches. They play #12 Crittenden County and #8 Hopkins County Central this week.
8) Hopkins County Central (3-5) – The Lady Storm have dropped three straight matches to region teams and won a set in each one. Hopkins Central plays Muhlenberg County and #7 Webster County this week.
9) Livingston Central (10-4) – Livingston Central jumps a spot in the poll thanks to a win over #8 Hopkins County Central. They will play #10 Trigg County and #13 Union County this week.
10) Trigg County (3-2) – Trigg County won a road match at Todd County Central last week and can make a jump in the rankings with #9 Livingston Central, #12 Crittenden County, and #5 University Heights on their schedule this week.
11) Fort Campbell (1-6) – The Lady Falcons are improving and could also improve their ranking as they play #4 Hopkinsville and #3 Madisonville this week.
12) Crittenden County (2-5) – Both of Crittenden County’s wins have come against #13 Union County. The Lady Rockets have contests with #7 Webster County and #10 Trigg County this week.
13) Union County (3-9) – Union County has lost six straight games and look to end the streak against #1 Henderson County and #9 Livingston Central this week.
