The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers got off to a fast start and never looked back on their way to a 5-1 8th District soccer win over Christian County Thursday night at the Stadium of Champions. With the rain falling steady for most of the evening, Hopkinsville got first half goals from Kyler Scheben, Keeli Miles, and Avery O’Hara to take a 3-0 first half lead.
Christian County appeared to get a little momentum late in the half when Drew Hancock scored on a penalty kick.
However, Avery O’Hara added two more goals in the second half, one on a penalty kick, as the Lady Tigers pulled away for the 5-1 win.
Hopkinsville improves their record to 4-2 on the season, while Christian County falls to 1-5.
