Heritage Christian Academy picked up their first soccer win of the season and got a KCAA win in the process. Clay Bonner scored twice to help the Warriors beat Immaculata Classical Academy 3-2 Saturday in Louisville.
Thomas West scored an equalizer in the first half, and Bonner booted home a penalty kick just before halftime to put the Warriors ahead 2-1.
After Immaculata scored to even the game, Bonner netted the game-winner with 10 minutes left in the contest, and the Warrior midfield defense was able to keep the Knights from scoring.
“It wasn’t pretty by any means but we did battle back and find a way to win,” Head Coach Tony Henson said.
The Warriors (1-4-1) return to action Saturday at Somerset Christian.
