It was a clean sweep for the golf teams from Christian County in a four way match Monday afternoon at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club. The Colonel golfers were 11 shots better than Hopkinsville to win the boys match 164-175, while the Lady Colonels edged out Hopkinsville 213 to 214.
On the boys side, Christian County was led by Carson Holmes, who shot a 34 to take medalist honors. John Buchanan shot a 38 and finished 2nd. Micah Smith and Houston George each shot 46 for the Colonels.
For the girls, while none of the Lady Colonels placed in the top 3 for the match, they did match to hold off Hopkinsville for the one shot win. Bridget Owens was low for Christian County with a 50. Hannah Sumner was close behind with a 51, while Jenna Humprhies shot a 54, and Jennalyn Kelly shot a 58.
