Darrin Goodwin bounced back from a so-so performance in his season opener last week to card an 83 and help Trigg County finish third Monday at the Christian County Invitational at Western Hill Golf Course.
Goodwin was one of three golfers to shoot under 91 on the day. Freshman Grayson Thomas, who posted Trigg County’s low score at Mineral Mound last week, shot an 89 and eighth grader Hunter Reynolds added a 91.
Caleb Federspiel shot a 96 and Ty Butts had a 94 as the Wildcats finished third with 359 points. Henderson County (340) took first place, and Madisonville (356) was second in the 12-team field.
