Two years later, sports powerhouse Princeton Butler High School merged with Caldwell County. Princeton Dotson (1963) and Fredonia (1972) later became a part of the Caldwell County school system. The Tigers were long a member of the Fifth District in several sports before being moved to the Seventh District in 2006.
