A late goal by Trigg County salvaged a 1-1 tie at Fort Campbell Thursday in girls’ soccer action. The tie is the first for both teams this year.
Kaitlyn Cervantes got Fort Campbell on the scoreboard midway through the first half. The 1-0 lead stood until three minutes were left in the contest when Trigg’s Jewel Crabtree scored off an assist from Kara Southwood.
Both teams came into the contest with four wins and were looking to come away with win No. 5 on the season.
Trigg County (4-10-1) will host Warren Central Tuesday at the Complex, while Fort Campbell (4-8-1) closes out their regular season Wednesday at home against Todd County Central.
