Todd County Central picked up a win Friday without having stepped on the football field. Fulton City, who has struggled to field enough players to put a starting 11 on the field this year, forfeited their game to the Rebels Friday.

For Fulton City, it was their second forfeit of the season. The Bulldogs were forced to forfeit their season opener to Greenfield, Tenn. for the same reason – lack of healthy players. Fulton City is the smallest school in the state to field a football team and have lost 26 straight games dating back to 2016.

Todd County has played two quarters against Fulton City the past two seasons and have won two games. Last year’s 54-6 Rebel win was called at halftime at the request of Fulton City when several Bulldog players were injured in the first half.

Todd County Central (3-2) will open district play Friday when they host Hancock County.
