It’s been a frustrating few weeks for Derek McCuiston, but the Lyon County soccer coach sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Playing with a full roster for the first time in weeks, Lyon County traveled to Mayfield and lost 4-1 Tuesday.
“It was a closer game than the final score showed,” McCuiston said. “Our backline play was better, but we missed many opportunities.”
Travis Crayne assisted Trace Adams on the lone Lyon goal, with Justin Tabor putting together a solid game in goal.
Lyon County (1-9-1) will try and pick up their first win since Aug. 16 Thursday when they play at border rival Caldwell County.
