Easton McGee had his second straight solid outing as the former Hopkinsville Mr. Baseball picked up the win for Class A Hudson Valley in their 4-2 win over Brooklyn Thursday.
McGee went five innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out three. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 5.23 on the season – the seventh straight outing that has seen him lower his season ERA.
He improved to 7-3 with the win and has allowed 73 hits in 63 innings pitched. He has struck out 37 and walked just 13.
Hudson Valley, the Class A short season affiliate of the Tampa Rays, remains in first place in the McNamara Division of the New York-Penn League. The Renegades have five games left in the regular season.
