While there were several positives for Rhett Miller to take away from his team’s 11-1 win over St. Mary Tuesday, the Caldwell County head coach was most pleased with eight different Lady Tigers finding the net.

After playing a brutal early schedule, Caldwell County has evened their season mark at 4-4.

Caldwell missed on some early shots but then scored six first half goals in a pair of spurts to take control of the contest. Kaylee McEnaney took a pass from Becca Siebert and found the back of the net nine minutes in.

Caldwell’s second goal came when Laney Fletcher played a perfect head flick at midfield that found Allissa Traylor sprinting down the right side. Traylor’s first goal of the game gave the Lady Tigers a 2-0 lead 14 minutes in.

Hannah Young then got in on the scoring five minutes later when she added an unassisted goal to make the score 3-0.

Caldwell then scored twice in the next six minutes. Laney Fletcher scored her first goal of the night to put the Lady Tigers up 4-0.

Margaret Butts drilled one in from 25 yards out just two minutes later for St. Mary’s lone goal of the contest.

Traylor scored on a penalty kick with ten minutes left in the first half to round out the Lady Tiger scoring.

McEnaney completed her hat trick in the second half as the Lady Tigers scored six goals in a 28-minute span. Fletcher assisted on her first tally, while Maggie Ginn got the helper on the second.

Morgan McDaniels, Sofie Littlefield, Siebert, and Kendall Boyd all added goals down the stretch, with Boyd’s score ending the game via the mercy rule with eight minutes left in the match.

After losing to No. 3 Henderson County 10-0 eight days ago, Caldwell County’s defense has allowed just two goals in their last three games – all Lady Tiger wins.

Caldwell County will get a good measuring-stick game Thursday when they play at 4-1 Graves County.
