Christian County’s bid for their first win of the soccer season came up one goal short as the Lady Colonels fell at Owensboro 2-1 Saturday.
The Lady Colonels fell behind 2-0 in the first half but saw their defense shine in the second half.
Freshman Lilly Larkins answered with a goal in the second half to bring Christian County to within 2-1 but couldn’t find the equalizer against the Lady Devils (1-1).
Christian County (0-2) returns to action Monday when they host Todd County Central at the Stadium of Champions.
