You have long heard it said that “when there is a will, there is a way.” Saturday for the UHA Blazers, the phase more accurately would have been “when there is a Will, there is a win”, as Will Bryan and the rest of the UHA Blazers cruised past Owensboro Catholic 6-1.

Bryan scored for goals to lead the way for UHA in the contest. His first came at 19:30 of the match and gave the Blazers a 1-0 lead. He added another at the 33:55 mark, which sent the Blazers into the half with a 2-0 lead. The margin actually felt like much more than two goals, as Bryan, Riley Simmons, Ian Calvert, and Tanner Thomas kept the offensive pressure moving forward and the Catholic defense back on their heels.

In the meantime, the Blazer defense kept the Aces from being a threat for much of the contest, getting solid play across the board.

The Blazers got going again quickly in the second half, as Bryan put his 3rd goal in the net at the 41:30 mark. Owensboro Catholic got their only goal of the match two minutes later to trim the lead to 3-1.

However, any thoughts of a rally by the Aces were quickly put to rest. Riley Simmons scored at the 47:00 mark to extend the lead to 4-1. Will Bryan got his fourth goal of the day at the 51:30 mark to extend the lead to 5-1. Tanner Thomas closed out the scoring for UHA at 67:00 to seal the 6-1 win.

UHA improves to 3-0 on the season, having allowed only two goals in their first three matches. They return to action Tuesday on the road at Caldwell County.
