The UHA Lady Blazers are rolling in the first days of the 2018 volleyball season. The Lady Blazers picked up their third consecutive straight-set match win of the season Tuesday night, dispatching the Hopkins Central Lady Storm 25-22, 25-8, and 25-19.
UHA got a big night from Lily Hendricks with 3 aces and 6 kills. Aisha Pantiere also came up big for the Lady Blazers wth 7 kills and a service ace. Evelyn Morales added 3 aces and 6 kills. UHA also got solid efforts on the night from Meghan Adams, Katy Beth Stevens, Anna Moore, and Rachael Snyder.
UHA (3-0) returns to action at home Thursday in a district matchup against Christian County. Hopkins Central (0-2) travels Thursday night to take on Union County.
UHA won the JV match against Hopkins Central 19-21, 21-10, and 21-13.
The Lady Blazers swept the freshman contest 21-14 and 21-10.
