A member of the Christian County Lady Colonels softball team had a big day for her summer softball team at one of the big softball events of the season in Colorard. The Louisville Lady Sluggers 14U-ZUEGE picked up a win and a tie Tuesday at the Colorado Jr. Sparkler.
The Lady Sluggers opened the day by defeating Firecracker DFW Smith 9-0. Christian County’s Tenley Gilbert had a huge game for the Lady Sluggers, going 3-3 with 2 RBI’s and a run scored.
In their second game of the day, the Lady Sluggers rallied late, scoring five runs in their final two at bats to secure a 7-7 tie against Nemesis Elite Garcia-Glover. Gilbert was 1-3 in the game for the Lady Sluggers.
