A former UHA golfer stands in position to defend her state amateur golf championship. After receiving a first round bye, Anna Moore won two matches Tuesday at the 2018 Kentucky State Women’s Amateur Championship.
In her opening match of the day Tuesday, Moore defeated incoming Murray State freshman Payton Carter. Moore took the match by a score of 2 & 1.
Moore then took to the course later in the afternoon for a quarterfinal round match. In that round, Moore defeated Molly Bebelaar 5 & 4. The win advanced Moore to Tuesday’s semifinal round.
The Kentucky State Women’s Amateur Championship is being played at the Elizabethtown Country Club
