It was a similar story for Heritage Christian Academy Saturday as the Lady Warriors fell to North Hardin Christian in the KCAA State Softball Championship Game for the third straight year. Rylee Washer pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10 as NHC won 15-0 in three innings.
Washer did put five Heritage runners on base via five walks but continually pitched out of jams.
North Hardin scored five in the first and four runs each in the second and third to quickly take control of the game and cruise to the win. Washer also had a single and double at the plate for the Lady Falcons.
It marked the fifth straight year Heritage Christian has played in the KCAA state title game. The Lady Warriors won consecutive titles in 2014 and 2015 and have been runners-up the last three years. It’s also the fifth time HCA has been runner-up at the state tournament.
