The Hoptown Hoppers will unveil the name of their new mascot Friday night (May 18) at an event that is open to the public.
Craft Beer and Curve Balls will be held from 6-9pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company at 102 East 5th Street. The Hoppers invite their fans to come out for live music, door prizes, and an appearance from the Holiday Burger Food Truck.
In addition, the team will announce the name of the baseball-headed human mascot that made its initial appearance last year. Names such as ‘Hoppy’, ‘Dinger’, ‘Homer’, ‘Stitches’, and ‘Frankie Jr.’ have been suggested by the public on Hopper social media sites.
The Hoppers open their season May 31 at Fulton. Their home opener is June 2 against Madisonville at Christian County’s Colonel Field.
