A tough draw for Hopkinsville’s Edward Major Thursday in the first round of the Boys State Tennis Tournament at the Top Seed Tennis Center in Lexington. Major, who was one of the semifinalist in the 2nd Region, was paired up against the overall #9 seed in the tournament, freshman Brent Reynolds, of DuPont Manual.
Reynolds controlled the match out of the gate on his way to a straight set 6-0, 6-1 win.
With the loss, Major finishes his high school tennis career for the Hopkinsville Tigers.
