University Heights Academy’s Muki Kunnmann came on strong in the last lap of the 1600M Run at the Class A Region 1 Championships in Murray on Saturday, running down St. Mary’s Madelyn Waltmon for the win in a time of 5:40.28. Kunnmann talked about the rivalry with Waltmon and how the heat actually helped her come from behind to win.
