It was a solid effort for the Trigg County entry in the 2018 KHSAA state bass fishing tournament. The event was held Friday and Saturday on Kentucky Lake with the weigh-in at the marina at Kentucky Dam Village.
The duo of Andrew Greene and Anthony Ethridge had two good days of fishing, finishing 8th at the end of the Day 1, and maintaining that position through the second day.
The team finished with a two-day total weight of fish of 16 pounds and 3 ounces. They caught five fish for 11 pounds and 3 ounces on day one, with a two fish catch of 5 pounds 8 ounces on the second day. They edge out an entry from Boyle County for 8th place by a single ounce.
The Marshall County entry of Tristan Barrett and Evan Bremmerkamp won the state title with a two day total of 27 pounds and 11 ounces. The total was more than 6 pounds ahead of the second place team from Madison Southern.
