The first eight Jo Byrns batters reached base as part of a nine-run first inning Tuesday in their 16-0 softball win over Heritage Christian Academy.
A third inning single by Kinley Deason was the lone hit of the game by the Lady Warriors.
Jo Byrns (8-10) added four runs in the second and a single tally in the third.
Mackenzie Cobb was especially tough on HCA. She had two hits and three RBIs at the plate. In the circle, Cobb struck out seven and did not walk anyone.
Heritage Christian Academy, the No. 3 team in this week’s KCAA Softball Poll, will host No. 5 Somerset Christian Saturday for an afternoon doubleheader.
