Nick Ahart is part of a large Trigg County High School baseball senior class that has been playing with or against each other for over a decade. Now, he is joining several of them in signing to continue his athletic and academic career in college.
Ahart signed Thursday to play baseball at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia.
The senior infielder has started parts of the last three years for Trigg County, mainly in the middle infield. He says that is where the LWC coaches have him pegged at the next level. Later Thursday, Ahart was the starting shortstop for the Wildcats in their loss to Caldwell County.
Ahart says he plans to study history in college with a possible future in teaching. He is the fifth member of the 2018 Wildcat senior class to sign to play in college.
