Former Hopkinsville High golfer Dacie Bolton finished tied for fifth place at the University of Northwestern Ohio Spring Invitational held at Bear’s Best Atlanta on Tuesday.
Bolton, a sophomore at Lindsey Wilson College, moved up 13 spots on the leaderboard Tuesday after shooting an 80 – five shots better than her first round on Monday. Her two-day total of 165 saw her tie with three other golfers for fifth place.
Bolton’s finish was her second top 10 finish of the year and her first in the top five.
Kaitlyn Riley of the Cumberlands easily won the match with a two-day total of 4-over, seven shots better than second place.
As a team, the Blue Raiders finished in fifth place. Lindsey Wilson is ranked No. 21 in the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and the second highest ranked Mid-South Conference member.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 9-10 as the Blue Raiders host the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at Dale Hollow State Park in Burkesville.
