A standout season on the gridiron helped Tre Wimbush land an offer from Campbellsville University. On Wednesday, the Christian County senior joined two other teammates in signing to play football with the Tigers.
Wimbush was named the most improved player on the 2017 Colonel squad which saw him named All Western Kentucky Conference.
The defensive back recorded 42 solo tackles, including six for loss. In addition to causing three fumbles, Wimbush had three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
He joins Kendarius Major and Zach Hale as Colonels who signed with Campbellsville, an NAIA school that went 8-2 last year.
