
Calloway County jumped out to a 26-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 62-37 win over Trigg County Friday in Murray.
Keeli Puckett hit four 3-ponters in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 21 points. Charlee Settle added 18 points as Calloway County (14-6) took a 36-19 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Adri Phillips scored eight of her 14 points in the third quarter as the Lady Wildcats were outscored 13-12. Bethany Stallons scored 11 points, and Logan Darnall added five points and five rebounds off the bench.
Trigg County, who dropped to 6-13 with the loss, has dropped seven straight games against Calloway dating back to 1984 and have never beaten them in Murray.
The Lady Wildcats will host Fulton City Saturday at 2pm at Wildcat Gym.
