Trigg County Coach Payton Croft was looking for an offensive bounce back after scoring a season-low 37 points in a loss to Creek Wood, TN Friday. He got just that as 11 different players scored, and the Wildcats shot 47-percent from the field in a 72-35 win at Community Christian Tuesday. The win moved Trigg County to 7-0 all-time against the Paducah private school.
The Wildcats used their pressure defense to score the first 14 points of the game and then settled back to limit the Warriors to 32-percent shooting from the field.
Trigg pushed their lead to as much as 40 points before settling for the 37-point win.
Devron Triplet led the Wildcats with 20 points. His first bucket of the fourth quarter saw him become the 25th Wildcat to score 1,000 points in his career. KiRome Bingham added 14 points, and Jakobe Bridges and Kyron Grubbs both scored seven for the Wildcats, who scored 30 points off 24 CCA turnovers.
Ben Carter led Community Christian (0-10) with 12 points.
Trigg County (7-5) will host Livingston Central Friday, looking to avenge a 47-44 loss to the Cardinals last month in Smithland.
