University Heights Academy junior Muki Kunnmann brought home another top 10 finish Saturday at the Fast Cats Invitational in Owensboro. Kunnmann finished seventh in a time of 20:25 over the 3.1-mile course. Teammate Piper Hancock finished 97th in 23:24.
Anderson County junior Maddy Moody won the race in a time of 18:55, which was 16 seconds ahead of second place finisher Breanna Alderton of Owensboro.
In the team competition, Daviess County had five runners in the top eight to win with 18 points. North Oldham finished second, and Harpeth Hall finished third. There were 230 runners in the girls’ varsity race.
Meanwhile, Tomas Duncan finished 12th for UHA in the boys’ varsity race in a time of 17:15.
Daviess County’s Hunter Kurz won the race in a time of 16:17, just ahead of Covington Catholic’s 16:24.
Covington Catholic won the team title with 44 points, followed by Montgomery Bell Academy (68) and Marshall County (135). There were 344 runners in the boys’ varsity race.
