Back to back district losses have put the Todd County Central Rebels in a position where they have to win one of their next two games just to make the playoffs. After dropping a 22-0 decision to McLean County on Friday night, the Rebels are currently 0-2 in the district.
They face a huge challenge this week, as they will host the Owensboro Catholic Aces. The Aces struggled early against a difficult schedule, but have won their last three by a combined score of 145-28. The following week, Todd County Central will hit the road to Butler County, to take on a Bears team that has gone 0-7, with only one of those losses being within 10 points.
If the Rebels should fall to O-Cath, and then beat Butler County, they would likely travel to take on the Mayfield Cardinals in the first week of the playoffs.
